Tandoor Roti

Ingredients

8oz Chappati flour
5 fl. oz. Water
2 tbls Milk

Method

  1. Make a soft dough with flour and water.
  2. Knead well and leave for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide into 6 portions.
  4. Roll out each piece into a round shape about 1/2" thick.
  5. Heat heavy frying pan. Place one roti in pan. When the lower side has brown spots remove from pan.
  6. Mix 2 tablespoons milk and one of water.
  7. Prick the uncooked side of the roti with a fork.
  8. Brush uncooked side with milk.
  9. Cook under a pre-heated grill until a few brown spots appear.
  10. Brush with ghee and serve hot.
