Sag Meat


1 lb Lamb (cut in 1" pieces) (or chicken)
6 oz. Onion (finely chopped)
8 oz. Peeled Tomato (tinned)
6 tablespoons Cooking Oil
1 packed frozen chopped Spinach (15 oz.)
1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
1 teaspoon Haldi Powder
1 tablespoon Garam Masala
2 tablespoons Dhania Powder
6 Cloves of Garlic
1/2 " piece of Ginger
1 tablespoon Salt


  1. Crush Ginger and Garlic to a paste.
  2. Heat oil in pressure cooker and fry onion until golden brown.
  3. Add all spices, garlic and ginger, fry for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomatoes, fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add spinach, fry for 3 minutes.
  6. Add meat and fry for 5 minutes until all water is dried up and you can see the oil.
  7. Cook for gently 10 minutes.
