8 oz. Wholemeal Flour
5 fl. oz. Water


  1. Make a soft dough with flour and water. Knead well.
  2. Leave 10 minutes.
  3. Divide dough into 8 to 10 portions.
  4. Roll out each piece into a thin, round shape about 7"-8" diameter.
  5. Heat a heavy frying pan. Put in one chappati. When small blisters appear, turn over and cook.
  6. Finish under grill.
