Boiled Rice

Ingredients

2 cups Basmati Rice
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
4 cups water
Pinch of Salt

Method

  1. Wash rice in a bowl. Use plenty of water and rub rice gently.
  2. Change water 3 or 4 times until it is clear. Drain rice.
  3. Place rice and water in a large saucepan with lemon and salt. Leave to stand for 10 minutes.
  4. Bring pan to boil and reduce to simmer and cover pan.
  5. Stir once. Cook rice until tender and all moisture is absorbed. (approx. 20 minutes)
