1 1/2lb plain flour
pinch of salt
1/4 pint plain yoghurt.
2 tablespoons of ghee.
1 sachet dried yeast
water to mix


  1. Sieve flour and salt into a large bowl.
  2. Add yoghurt, ghee and yeast and mix to a soft dough with the water.
  3. Cover and leave dough to rise for 3-4 hours in a warm place.
  4. Divide the dough into 20-25 equal parts. Roll into rounds about 4" in diameter.
  5. Deep fry in hot oil until puffed up. Turn once.
